If This Then That (IFTTT) lets you connect your Futurehome to hundreds of connected devices and services.

You can trigger your devices to do things through IFTTT based on events in your home. Things like lights being switched on or a temperature change can be used to trigger other devices in turn.

Alternatively, you can trigger Futurehome to do things based on signals from devices or other services connected to IFTTT.

IFTTT is a cloud based service supported by Futurehome. These days you can buy IoT-connected devices almost anywhere and there’s a good chance you already have some devices with IFTTT support. Some common devices include Phillips Hue light bulbs, Logitech Harmony TV remote and Netatmo’s weather station.

With IFTTT you can easily create a link between all these smart devices and your Futurehome installation. Rules, or ‘recipes’ as they are called, are easily created on the IFTTT.com website or through their mobile application.

Here are a few examples of some fun IFTTT recipes:

Automatically switch off the TV when you go to bed

Switch modes based on family members’ locations

Control your Futurehome through voice commands

Switch modes using facial recognition

Control your Philips Hue lights with Futurehome and IFTTT

Close skylights if it starts to rain

Trigger outdoor lighting based on sunrise and sunset
