05 Dec Sneak peek of the new app!
We are not slowing down with updates of the Future Home app. New features are right around the corner and we thought we’d share some highlights with you.
First off, let’s take a look at some new design changes. We have gotten valuable feedback from everybody that has acquired Future Home and have redesigned certain aspects of the application, mainly the dashboard. It now features a more prominent powermeter, larger house-wide information blocks, as well as larger room-information panels, something that’s been requested. Diving deeper into the controls, sliders for lighting and heating have been revamped to more clearly indicate their status, especially for dimmable lights.
We’re also pleased to present new Android and iOS applications along with support for Apple Watch. Both the Android and iOS application will feature design and performance improvements. The Apple watch application is in the early stages and will support displaying information and notifications from your house, but will rapidly support controlling your house as well.
Another feature that’s nearing completion is the API. It currently supports getting information from your home as well as sending a limited number of commands to your home. You can for example get detailed statistics from your house, get information about rooms, devices and so on. We welcome third party developers and hobbyists to use this API to develop their own integrations with Future Home. It’s going to be interesting to see what this will bring, and we will launch the API as soon as it’s ready.
